Project Manager – Victorian Diabetes Clinical Network

• Part-time fixed-term contract | Hybrid working model.
• 0.6 FTE (3 days/ 22.5 hours per week) for 12 months.

YOUR IMPACT

Diabetes Victoria is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of the new Victorian Diabetes Clinical Network.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the development of this new network and lead innovation and improvements across the Victorian healthcare system.

This influential role will bring together clinicians, health service leaders, people with lived experience and other stakeholders to strengthen collaboration across the public health care system. You will develop the network’s work plan and coordinate initiatives designed to improve the quality, safety and equity of diabetes care across Victoria.

Reporting to the Health Policy and Research team, you will work closely with the network co-chairs, Steering Committee, diabetes health professionals, people with lived experience and multidisciplinary stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver the network work plan, including priorities, timelines, deliverables and measures of success.
• Monitor progress against milestones and key performance indicators.
• Manage project risks, issues, resources and dependencies.
• Coordinate the network, Steering Committee and associated working groups.
• Develop and implement stakeholder engagement and communication plans.
• Build effective partnerships across health services and the broader diabetes care system.
• Facilitate consultation, collaboration and consensus-building between multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• Establish mechanisms for meaningful participation by people with lived experience of diabetes to inform project planning and decision-making.
• Coordinate clinical improvement workstreams, including referral pathways, models of care and quality-improvement activities.
• Support clinicians and other stakeholders through service improvement and organisational change.
• Develop an evaluation framework and monitor network activities and outcomes.
• Prepare reports, briefing papers, evaluation findings and recommendations.

ABOUT YOU

You are an experienced health professional who can turn strategy into practical, sustainable action. You are skilled at bringing together people with different perspectives, building consensus and maintaining momentum across organisational boundaries.

• A tertiary-qualified health professional with knowledge of diabetes management and specialist diabetes services.
• Demonstrated experience managing health service projects from planning through to implementation and evaluation.
• Strong project management, organisational and risk-management capabilities.
• Experience engaging stakeholders across multiple organisations and professional disciplines.
• Highly developed facilitation, influencing and partnership-building skills.
• Experience in health service improvement, redesign or change management.
• Experience supporting project governance, committees and multidisciplinary working groups.

The successful candidate will be required to complete a current Victorian Police Check, Working with Children Check and hold a valid driver’s licence.
