We currently have a Paediatric Occupational Therapist position available in Townsville.
ATS is a registered NDIS provider and delivers therapeutic services across a range of funding streams - including WorkCover QLD, Comcare, NIISQ, private health and as an Associated Provider for aged care. This means you'll gain broad clinical experience across diverse client groups and funding models, all within a single, well-supported practice.

As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist in our Townsville clinic, you'll deliver high-quality therapy services to children, adolescents and their families, carers and support networks. You'll work both in-clinic and in the community (homes, schools, early childhood centres) depending on client needs.
Your day-to-day will include:Conducting comprehensive assessments (e.g., sensory processing, fine/gross motor, self-care, functional capacity, home modifications, assistive technology)
Developing individualised therapy plans, goals and intervention strategies in collaboration with support networks
Writing clear, timely reports within company timeframes
Delivering evidence-based intervention across clinic, home, school and community settings
Collaborating with carers, families, support workers, educators and other health professionals to achieve the best outcomes for each person
Contributing to the development of specialist resources, training and information programs for families and support agencies
Maintaining accurate client records and documentation in line with NDIS Practice Standards and company procedures
Supervising Allied Health Assistants where applicable
At least 70% of your calendar time will be dedicated to client-facing, billable service delivery.

Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy from a recognised university
Current AHPRA registration
Experience, or a strong interest, in paediatric and adolescent occupational therapy
Current Yellow Card (Disability Worker Screening) or willingness to obtain
Current and unrestricted driver's licence
Strong interpersonal and communication skills — written and verbal
Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
A genuine passion for working with children and young people
Commercially aware approach - understanding the importance of financial viability in a private practice setting
A genuine interest in a hybrid caseload - paediatric and adolescent as your primary focus, with scope to take on adult work across NDIS and aged care based on community need
Experience working within the NDIS
Familiarity with common assessment tools
Experience delivering services in regional or remote communities
A supportive, values-driven team that genuinely cares about clinician wellbeing
Structured clinical supervision and professional development pathways
Access to quality supervisors for clinical guidance
A well-established client base with strong referral networks in the Townsville region
Flexible work arrangements, including 9 day fortnight.
A sensory-friendly clinic environment with quality resources and assessment tools
Location: Townsville, QLD - this is an on-site role.
Hours: Full time (part-time: 3 or 4 days also considered)
Travel: Occasional travel within the Townsville region to deliver community-based services. There are potential opportunities for outreach where interested.
