Office Cleaner

The Office Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic, safe, and welcoming workplace for employees, clients, and visitors. The role involves the daily cleaning (after hours) and upkeep of office areas, kitchens, bathrooms, meeting rooms, and common spaces to ensure a consistently high standard of presentation.

Key Responsibilities General Cleaning

• Vacuum and mop office floors, hallways, reception areas, and common spaces.
• Dust and wipe desks, furniture, windowsills, and other surfaces.
• Clean internal glass, mirrors, and doors.
• Remove cobwebs and spot clean walls as required.

Kitchens and Breakout Areas

• Clean kitchen benches, sinks, splashbacks, and appliances.
• Load and unload dishwasher where required.
• Clean microwaves, refrigerators (externally), coffee machines, and other shared equipment.
• Empty bins and replace liners.

Bathrooms

• Clean and sanitise toilets, urinals, basins, mirrors, and floors.
• Replenish toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, and other amenities.
• Maintain high hygiene standards at all times.

Waste Management

• Empty office and kitchen bins.
• Dispose of rubbish and recycling appropriately.
• Maintain waste storage areas in a clean and tidy condition.

Meeting Rooms & Shared Spaces

• Ensure meeting rooms are clean, tidy, and ready for use.
• Wipe tables, chairs, whiteboards, and presentation equipment.
• Arrange furniture where required.

Consumables

• Monitor cleaning supplies.
• Report low stock levels to management.
• Safely store cleaning products and equipment.

Health & Safety

• Follow Workplace Health and Safety procedures.
• Use cleaning chemicals in accordance with manufacturer instructions.
• Report hazards, maintenance issues, damage, or incidents promptly.
• Ensure wet floor signage is used where appropriate.

General Duties

• Maintain confidentiality while working within office spaces.
• Present professionally and courteously.
• Lock and secure premises where required.
• Undertake other reasonable cleaning duties as directed.

Skills and Experience

• Previous commercial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliable, trustworthy, and punctual.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to lift and carry cleaning equipment and supplies safely.

Desirable

• Experience cleaning commercial offices or coworking spaces.
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling.
• Current Police Check (if required).
• Right to work in Australia

Pay: $37.91 per hour
