Role Details - Program Communications Officer
Location: ACT
Work Arrangement: Onsite & Hybrid
Contract: Initial 6 months + 6-month extension
Clearance: Current Baseline Security Clearance – Mandatory

About the Role 

We are seeking an experienced Communications specialist to support a major transformation and change program within a government environment.

Working closely with program leadership, business and change teams, you will develop clear, timely and engaging communications that support program delivery and organisational change.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can manage planned communications while responding confidently to changing priorities and short-turnaround requests.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop communications supporting program updates, change, releases and milestones.
• Produce newsletters, stakeholder updates and industry notices.
• Create presentation and Board-level communication material.
• Maintain web content and communication collateral.
• Develop content for corporate communication channels.
• Partner with program, business and change stakeholders on planned and ad hoc communications.

What You’ll Bring

• Strong writing and content development skills.
• Experience in program, change, internal or corporate communications.
• Confident working with senior stakeholders and diverse audiences.
• Experience producing newsletters, presentations and stakeholder communications.
• Able to manage competing priorities and short deadlines.
• Practical PowerPoint and basic visual design skills.
• Government or program communications experience is desirable.

Mandatory Requirement Applicants must hold a current Baseline Security Clearance to be considered for this role.
