Costco Wholesale Ipswich - Forklift Driver - PM Merch

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operates stand-up electric forklift and electric pallet jack to move pallets of merchandising from inside delivery trailers to the receiving dock to be checked in.
• Completes daily forklift safety checklist and follow safety procedures. Changes out forklift batteries and hooks batteries up to battery charger.
• Stacks non-palleted merchandise and merchandise from damaged or unacceptable pallets onto Costco-approved pallets. Down-stacks and separates mixed item pallets for checking.
• Wraps pallets of double received goods with plastic wrap and move into rows of stacked pallets for transport to the floor or steel by merchandising drivers.
• Loads merchandise and empties pallets to be shipped out onto trucks. 
• Follows proper Receiving and general safety and security procedures and standards.
• Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
• Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members, employees, and suppliers.

Forklift driving or comparable experience

Electric Pallet Jack, Forklift (prior to beginning work in department)

NON ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS:

• Assists with front end duties as necessary.
• Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.
• Creates computer generated signs.
• Provides prompt and courteous customer service to members,employees and suppliers.

Qualifications( Costco-Specific or Industry-Specific skills that candidates should possess):

• Education/Training :                None
• Licenses/Certifications :          Costco Forklift Certification required.Electric Pallet Jack.
• Experience :                             At least 6 months forklift driving experience required,merchandising experience required.
• Knowledge/Skills :                  AS 400 knowledge,computer skills,excellent communication skills,receiving or comparable experience.
