Lavender Farm Supervisor

The Lucas Group is currently recruiting for a unique opportunity: We’re on the lookout for a practical Farm Supervisor or horticultural professional to join a new commercial lavender enterprise in the Barossa Valley.

This is a hands-on role, working closely with the Director to carry out and coordinate day-to-day farm activities during the establishment phase.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day farm operations and production activities
• Manage irrigation, plant health and crop care
• Coordinate seasonal staff and contractors
• Operate and maintain farm and agricultural machinery
• Monitor weeds, pests and diseases
• Support crop establishment and harvest activities
• Maintain basic farm records and contribute to improving day-to-day farm practices

About You
We’re looking for someone with experience in commercial lavender production, horticulture, floriculture or a similar production environment.
You’ll have:

• Experience supervising farm or horticultural operations
• Practical knowledge of irrigation and plant health
• Experience with pruning, weed, pest and disease management
• Confidence operating agricultural or horticultural machinery
• Experience supervising contractors, seasonal workers, or farm teams
• Good communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
• A proactive, hands-on approach

Relevant horticultural qualifications or equivalent hands-on experience with lavender will be highly regarded.
