Parts Interpreter

EnduroCo is a Melbourne-based vehicle body builder and 4x4 conversion specialist, delivering premium vehicle upgrade and conversion solutions across the automotive and minibus sectors.

We're growing and looking for an Automotive Parts Interpreter to join our team.

This is a hands-on, customer-focused role suited to someone who understands automotive parts, enjoys solving problems and can confidently work out what part or product is required for a particular vehicle or application.

As our Parts Interpreter, you'll be an important link between our customers, sales team, suppliers and workshop.

You'll interpret customer and vehicle requirements, identify the correct parts and products, prepare quotes and orders, and help ensure the right components are available for our vehicle builds and conversions.

You don't need to know our product range on day one — we'll train you on our products, suppliers and systems.

What we do need is automotive knowledge, mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn.

• Interpret automotive parts and product requirements based on vehicle and customer specifications

• Identify and source the correct parts, components and accessories

• Prepare quotes, sales orders and parts orders

• Respond to customer and trade enquiries by phone and email

• Work closely with our sales and workshop teams to ensure the correct parts are supplied for each job

• Maintain accurate product, customer and order information in our systems

• Develop strong knowledge of our 4x4, vehicle conversion and body-building product range

• Assist customers with product options and suitable alternatives

• Follow orders and projects through from inquiry to completion

• And other ad hoc duties.

We're particularly interested in people who have worked in automotive parts, dealerships, mechanical workshops, 4x4/accessory businesses, truck or commercial vehicle parts, or similar environments.

You'll ideally have:

• Automotive parts knowledge or experience in parts interpreting

• Good mechanical aptitude and an understanding of vehicles

• The ability to identify the right product or component for an application

• Strong computer skills and confidence learning new systems

• Good written and verbal communication

• Strong attention to detail

• A practical, problem-solving mindset

• A current driver's licence

• A reliable, honest and teachable attitude

• Australian citizenship or Permanent Residency

Experience with 4x4 accessories, vehicle modifications, commercial vehicles or body building would be highly regarded, but isn't essential.

• $30–$40 per hour, depending on experience

• Pay review after 6 months

• Full training on our products and systems
