The opportunity

We're seeking a Practice Manager to lead the daily operations of our Ashgrove dental practice for a 6-month fixed term, covering maternity leave. For the right person, there is a genuine pathway to a permanent role at the end of the contract.

We're a team of 4 clinicians and support staff who take patient care seriously and take care of each other. You'll have direct support from our Principal Dentist and from PrimePractice, a specialist dental practice management consultancy, throughout your onboarding and the life of the contract.

We're accepting applications from two types of candidates:

• Experienced Practice Managers who can step into the role with minimal ramp-up time, and
• Senior or experienced dental receptionists ready to move into practice management, supported by a structured handover and ongoing mentoring.

Salary Candidate profile Salary range
Stepping up from a senior reception role $70,000 – $85,000
Experienced Practice Manager $90,000 – $110,000

Placement within the range depends on your experience. Superannuation is paid in addition.

What you'll be responsible for

• Leading day-to-day practice operations
• Coordinating rostering and supporting HR functions for the team
• Maintaining high standards of patient experience and front-of-house service
• Supporting marketing initiatives and community engagement
• Working closely with the Principal Dentist on practice priorities and continuous improvement

What will help you succeed in this role

• Experience with Dental4Windows (D4W), or confidence picking up new practice software
• Experience in a dental or allied health environment
• Strong organisational skills and clear communication with both patients and team members

Please note: this is an onsite role based in Ashgrove. Work-from-home arrangements are not available for this position.
