Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission. 

Collectively, Victoria's Supreme, County, Magistrates', Children's, and Coroners courts, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT), the Judicial College of Victoria, the Judicial Commission of Victoria, and Court Services Victoria (CSV) are referred to as the ‘Courts Group'.

About the Role

Launch your legal career at the heart of Victoria's justice system.

As a Court Officer, you will be assigned to a Judicial Officer for the duration of a two-year contract, providing a unique opportunity to gain unparalleled insight into the court process and develop practical legal, research and administrative skills in a dynamic judicial environment.

Working closely with your allocated Judicial Officer, you will play an integral role in supporting court proceedings both in-person and online. You will manage a diverse range of responsibilities including court administration, records management, preparation of court documents, correspondence management, data entry and filing, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with legislative requirements, practice directions and court procedures.

A key aspect of this role is supporting judicial decision-making through legal research and analysis. You will review case law, legislation and relevant precedents, preparing materials that assist Judicial Officers to make informed decisions.
