National Head of Service

About the Role

We're looking for a commercially-minded, people-first leader to take ownership of our national Service business. You'll be accountable for the P&L, strategy, systems and standards that turn Service into a scalable, high-performing function - while developing the Service Team Leader to run the day-to-day.

This is a strategic leadership role, not a hands-on technical one. You won't be under the hood - you'll be building the business, the numbers and the people around it.

Reporting to the COO, with the Service Team Leader reporting to you (and indirect oversight of Service Coordinators and Technicians), you'll be based full-time from our Rosebery office, with travel as required (though not extensively).

What You'll Be Doing

• Owning the national Service P&L - budgets, forecasts, margin and cost control

• Building and executing the national Service strategy, growing recurring maintenance and chargeable revenue

• Leading a national warranty reduction and continuous improvement program

• Setting up dashboards and reporting rhythms that flag risks and opportunities early

• Coaching and developing the Service Team Leader to independently run daily operations

• Partnering with Installation, Sales, Supply Chain and Finance to drive results across the group

• Owning our Service systems, technology and invoicing accuracy to improve efficiency and control

• Growing recurring maintenance contracts and converting installed lifts into long-term service relationships

• Leading workforce planning, recruitment and succession as the team grows

• Setting customer service standards and stepping in on significant or systemic escalations

• Championing a strong safety culture and WHS compliance nationally

About You

• Proven experience owning a P&L - budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and corrective action

• A track record leading a multi-site or multi-region field service operation

• Strong commercial and data skills - comfortable living in dashboards and using them to drive decisions

• Experience reducing warranty, rework or service costs through root-cause thinking

• A leadership style built around developing your people, not controlling every task
