Cloud Security Engineer

The Cloud Security Engineer role is responsible for securing and enhancing a multi-account AWS environment, owning key cloud security services, and driving DevSecOps and security best practices across engineering teams. The position is ideal for a hands-on AWS security professional who wants to combine cloud security, automation, and modern technology while supporting innovative autonomous mobility solutions.

Description

Design, implement, and maintain security controls across multi-account AWS environments.

Own and manage AWS security services including Security Hub, GuardDuty, IAM, Identity Center, WAF, Cognito, Inspector, and Service Control Policies (SCPs).

Conduct security assessments, threat modelling, and vulnerability management activities.

Collaborate with software engineering teams to embed security into the SDLC.

Integrate security testing and controls into CI/CD pipelines.

Develop and maintain security controls using Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation and/or AWS SAM).

Support incident response, investigations, and remediation activities.

Continuously improve cloud security posture and security monitoring capabilities.

Profile

5+ years' experience in Cloud Security, Cyber Security, Cloud Engineering, or a related field.

Strong hands-on AWS security experience, including IAM, Security Hub, GuardDuty, WAF, Cognito, Identity Center, and AWS Organizations.

Experience securing multi-account AWS environments.

Knowledge of security best practices, governance, and compliance frameworks.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code, ideally CloudFormation or AWS SAM.

Understanding of DevSecOps principles and CI/CD security integration.

Familiarity with Python, Golang, or Rust is advantageous.

AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, or similar certifications are highly regarded.
