Retail Shop Assistant

About the role

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and have experience in a retail environment? We are looking for a friendly and engaging Retail Shop Assistant to join our team at Zing Zing - The Fresh Food King in Kangaroo Flat, VIC.

This is a CASUAL role:

Typically offering 20-30 hours per week.

What you'll be doing

• Providing a warm and welcoming experience for all customers

• Assisting customers with product selection and ensuring their needs are met

• Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the store

• Restocking shelves and fridges as required

• Handling cash and operating the point of sale system

• End of day cleaning

• Supporting the team with other ad-hoc tasks as needed

What we're looking for

• Previous experience in a customer-facing retail role

• Minimum of 1 year retail experience required

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities

• A friendly, positive and proactive attitude

• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• FLEXIBILIY to work a range of shifts including:

  • opening the store

  • closing the store

  • ONE WEEKEND DAY PER WEEK

  • Public holidays.

• Australian work rights required
