About The Role
Our Hydrogen Peroxide manufacturing facility, composed of around 40 people, focuses on producing hydrogen (H2) and hydrogen peroxide (HP) in collaboration with the Maintenance, Purchasing, Logistics and Commercial teams.
As a Site HSE Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the safe and compliant operations of the site in the areas of safety, health and environment as well as providing support to the Production Manager and Site Manager. You will get the opportunity to contribute to maintaining and improving the standards of a complex Major Hazard Facility (MHF) site. You will be accountable for:
the safe management of the site’s hydrogen and hydrogen peroxide plant, alongside the Production ManagerMaintaining and improving the safety systemsMaintaining ISO accreditation (ISO 45001, 14001 and 9001)Promoting and undertaking site audits on the Solvay Lifesaving rulesLiaising with local authorities including Safe Work NSW(Safe Work New South Wales ), EPA(Environmental Protection Authority ), NGERS(National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting System ), AICIS(Australian Industrial Chemicals Introduction Scheme ), and Continuous improvement and working to best practice

We offer a permanent contract based on onsite working mode.
About You
Relevant education degree or equivalent in Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Safety or similar qualification . Relevant at least 3 years of work experience in an operational safety role at a chemical or industrial site. Exposure to laboratory operations and people management is favourable
Competencies:
Relevant work experience in the chemical or comparable industrySafety leadership in a Major Hazard Facility (MHF)

About The Pay
Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is AUD 101,520 - AUD 143,500 per year in Australia.
Your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
