Intern - Business Development and Strategy

Join Volvo Group Australia as a Business Development & Strategy Intern and gain hands-on experience supporting strategic initiatives that shape the future of our business. Working within our Project Management Office (PMO), you'll contribute to projects aligned with our 2030 Strategy, build valuable skills in business strategy and project management, and work alongside experienced leaders in a global organisation. This is a six month contract with potential to extend, please be advised we will only be accepting local applications.

Key responsibilities:

• Support strategic projects and initiatives aligned to Volvo Group Australia's 2030 Strategy.
• Assist with project tracking, reporting, dashboards, and progress updates.
• Help maintain PMO tools, action plans, and initiative documentation.
• Gather and analyse information to support business and leadership reporting.
• Prepare materials for leadership meetings, strategy forums, and project reviews.
• Monitor actions, risks, and dependencies to help keep initiatives on track.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of PMO processes and ways of working.
• Participate in internship learning and development activities.
• Support the PMO team with other duties as required.

• Third or fourth year of a Bachelor degree in Business, Commerce, Project Management, Engineering, Information Systems, Communications or a similar field.
• Initiative and personal drive to manage assigned work under guidance.
• Ability to follow procedures, maintain accurate records and work with structured information.
• A confident and thoughtful communicator who can follow up with stakeholders professionally.
• Solid Microsoft Office 365 skills, including Outlook, Teams, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong research, information collation and written summary skills.
• Interest in strategy execution, project management, business transformation or governance.
• Experience with Asana, SharePoint, dashboards or reporting tools is desirable but not essential.
• Interest in the commercial transport, manufacturing, automotive or logistics industry is desirable.
