About the role
Connect people, promote wellbeing and champion inclusive leisure
Banyule Leisure is seeking a creative and community-minded Community Engagement and Communications Officer to support engagement, digital communications, campaigns and community partnerships across our leisure facilities.
In this varied part-time role, you will help coordinate the Banyule Leisure Equity Membership Program, build connections with community organisations, support events and days of significance, and create engaging content for social media, web and in-centre communications.

Coordinate and facilitate the Banyule Leisure Equity Membership ProgramConnect Banyule Leisure with community through networking and connecting with community organisations. Focusing on connecting identified disadvantaged community cohorts with Banyule Leisure Facilities.Coordinate and champion social media channels for Banyule Leisure. Including promotion of facility, “good news stories”, and supporting program promotion and awareness.Work with program coordinators and colleagues to maximise effectiveness of major campaigns

What You'll Bring/what We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, experience creating digital or campaign content, a genuine interest in community wellbeing, and the ability to build positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. You'll have:
An ability to create organic content and structured marketing campaign content.A commitment to Banyule Leisure's values and a keen interest in promoting health and wellness outcomes for our customers and the wider community.Strong customer service focus and ability to multitask in a busy and dynamic environment, without compromising service to customers.At least 2 years' experience in similar or related roles.Prior experience working within the community sector or aquatics and recreation industry in a communications role will be highly considered.
What's On Offer
A 2 year fixed term part time role working 22.8 hours per week - this could be worked across 3 or 4 days.Salary from $49,994.57 to $57,898.35 per year (comparison at full time is $83,324.29 to $96,497.25) depending on experience, plus super.Primary work location Ivanhoe Aquatic, and Olympic Leisure Centre.Supportive and engaging teamBenefits include personal development and access to gym facilities

Level 2 First Aid (Apply First Aid).Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
