Botanica Wellness Pharmacy is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Pharmacist to join our growing team in a full-time or part-time capacity.

We are a specialised pharmacy with a strong focus on medicinal cannabis and Schedule 8 medicines, providing patients with professional, knowledgeable and compassionate pharmacy care.

This is a hands-on role suited to a pharmacist who enjoys taking ownership of the entire patient and dispensing experience — from receiving and processing prescriptions through to dispensing, counselling, stock management and maintaining accurate pharmacy records.

About the Role

As a Pharmacist at Botanica Wellness Pharmacy, you will play a key role in the day-to-day operation of the pharmacy and be responsible for delivering a smooth, professional experience for our patients.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Dispensing Schedule 8 (S8) medications, including medicinal cannabis products

• Reviewing prescriptions and ensuring dispensing is completed accurately and in accordance with relevant legislation and professional standards

• Managing the complete customer/patient experience, from initial enquiry through to dispensing and collection/delivery

• Providing professional pharmacist counselling and medication information to patients

• Communicating with patients, prescribers and clinics to resolve prescription or medication-related enquiries

• Processing and maintaining prescriptions and pharmacy records

• Script filing and general pharmacy administration

• Managing stock levels, ordering and receiving stock

• Monitoring inventory and ensuring appropriate stock rotation and availability

• Maintaining accurate records for S8 medicines and other controlled medications

• Assisting with pharmacy workflow and ensuring prescriptions are processed efficiently

• Maintaining high standards of privacy, accuracy, compliance and patient care

• Contributing to the continued development and growth of Botanica Wellness Pharmacy

About You

We are looking for someone who is professional, organised, reliable and confident working independently.

You will ideally have:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Pharmacist

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe dispensing

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Confidence managing pharmacy workflow and taking ownership of tasks

• Strong organisational and time-management skills

• An understanding of S8 dispensing and regulatory requirements

• The ability to communicate professionally with patients, doctors and clinics

• A genuine interest in medicinal cannabis and emerging areas of pharmacy practice

• A willingness to learn and develop specialised knowledge within medicinal cannabis

Previous medicinal cannabis experience is highly regarded but not essential. Training and support can be provided to the right pharmacist.
