Psychologist - Senior (Women

Provide high level evidence based psychology clinical services to inpatients and outpatients across the Gold Coast University Hospital and Health Service (GCHHS).

The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Psychologist – Senior (Women, Newborn and Childrens Services) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

• Deliver high level psychology clinical services including assessment, formulation and treatment on referral
• Undertake clinical governance activities related to psychology within the multidisciplinary team
• Provide clinical advice to professional and operational supervisors, relevant service managers and stakeholders
• Provide ambulatory antenatal and postnatal services, including termination of pregnancy, and service other acute wards across hospital campuses

About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

• Tertiary degree in Psychology (or equivalent)
• Registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
• Driver Licence

Salary

• Permanent part time (30.4 hours per fortnight)
• Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.55 per hour

The Psychology Service is located within Allied Health Services and provides both inpatient and outpatient services to hospital patients with physical health and comorbid psychological conditions.
