About the role
As a Supported Independent Living (SIL) Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in assisting individuals to live fulfilling, meaningful lives in their own homes. You will provide high‑quality support tailored to each participant’s needs and goals.
This role covers multiple SIL sites across Condell Park, Green Valley, Yagoona, Chipping Norton, and Wentworthville, requiring flexibility to travel between locations as needed.
This role operates within a 24/7 Supported Independent Living environment, and applicants must have full flexibility to work across a rotating roster.
What You Will Do:
Work on a 24/7 rotating roster which includes days, evenings, awake shifts, sleepovers, and weekend shifts.
Provide positive and empowering support to NDIS participants with a range of disabilities.
Deliver flexible, responsive, and client‑focused assistance aimed at improving physical and mental wellbeing.
Follow NDIS support plans and behaviour support strategies.
Demonstrate high levels of enthusiasm, initiative, and a positive attitude.
Assist participants in their needs of daily living including personal care, toileting, showering, meal preparation, domestic assistance, social support, transport, etc.
Use your administration skills to maintain accurate documentation and records of support provided.
Key Requirements:
Experience providing personalised support to people with disabilities, including personal care, household tasks, and community access.
Experience in Disability Support or a similar support role.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
Empathy, patience, and the ability to work in a team-based environment.
Valid NSW Driver’s Licence (P2 minimum) and reliable vehicle.
First Aid Certificate & CPR.
NDIS Worker Screening Check.
Working With Children Check.
Australian working rights (Passport, Visa).
Flexibility to work across a 24/7 rotating roster including weekends and sleepovers.
