With a strong pipeline of projects, we are looking for a keen, reliable 1st Year Apprentice to join our supportive team and build a rewarding trade career.

About the Role

This is an entry-level position where you will learn the trade from the ground up. You will work alongside experienced tradespeople to learn how to fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal components to exact specifications while completing your Certificate III in Sheet Metal / Light Fabrication.

Key Responsibilities (What You Will Learn & Do)

• Assisting qualified tradespeople with the fabrication and installation of sheet metal components

• Learning to read and interpret technical drawings and plans

• Developing skills to operate machinery such as press brakes, guillotines, and folders

• Learning and practicing TIG and MIG welding techniques

• Maintaining workshop cleanliness, tool maintenance, and quality control

• Strictly adhering to WHS standards to keep yourself and your teammates safe

What We’re Looking For

• Genuine interest in starting a career in sheet metal fabrication

• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills

• High attention to detail and a commitment to safety

• Excellent work ethic, punctuality, and reliability

• Good communication skills and a strong desire to learn

• Completion of Year 10 (or equivalent) minimum

Desirable (but not essential)

• Driver's licence and reliable transport

• Pre-apprenticeship course in Metal Fabrication (Cert II)

• White Card

• Any previous hands-on experience or school woodwork/metalwork subjects
