Front End Assistant - Full Time

Daily tasks and responsibilities:

Greet members, helps members load order onto conveyor belt, determines member’s packing preferences, answers questions, relates information on special promotions, thanks members and provides prompt and courteous member service.

Packs member orders into boxes and loads back into trolley or flatbed. Checks packaging for tampering. Follows all safety and security procedures. Assists members loading orders into car when required.

Assisting the cashier in; correct stock counts, packing and unpacking of carts, running for items required by member or cashier, keeping register stocked with supplies, completing item lookups.

Assist cashiers in scanning of large items remaining on carts. Follows proper departmental procedures and policies.

Good time management and punctuality is essential.

Maintains cleanliness of register area and general front end area. Clean spills and maintain a safe work space.

Retrieves trolleys and flatbeds from parking area using correct safety equipment. Follow correct safety procedures and supervisor instruction. Maintaining a clean lot area. Cleaning and sanitising of carts.

Performs related tasks such as set up and closing duties for the department such as, returning products, stocking registers, and housekeeping.

Non-Essential Functions and Tasks:

Assists other areas in the department as necessary.

Assists in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.

Operates mechanical trash compactor/cardboard baler.
