Calm Oceans Pty Ltd QUALIFIED PAINTER & DECORATOR Residential & Commercial Specialist   Company Name: Inspired Painting & Decorating Location: Gold Coast, QLD Employment Type: Full-Time Salary Package: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum      We are expanding our site operations team and seeking a skilled, reliable, and qualified Painter & Decorator to join us on a full-time basis. Key Responsibilities Your day-to-day duties will include: Preparing interior and exterior surfaces by scraping, sanding, pressure washing, patching cracks, and applying filler/undercoats.

Selecting, matching, and mixing paint formulations, stains, clear finishes, and specialized protective coatings. Applying paint, varnish, enamel, and decorative finishes to timber, brick, concrete, plasterboard, and metal surfaces using brushes, rollers, and airless spray equipment. Measuring, cutting, hanging, and finishing wallpapers, vinyls, and decorative wall coverings.

Erecting scaffolding, ladders, and work platforms safely, adhering strictly to elevated work standards. Protecting client furniture, floors, and surrounding fixtures using drop sheets, masking tapes, and plastic sheeting. Inspecting completed work for quality, coverage, finish, and trueness of line.

Maintaining strict compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) regulations, environmental waste management, and company quality assurance guidelines. Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience Qualifications:  Certificate III in Painting & Decorating  Experience:  Minimum 1 year of post-qualification full-time experience as a Painter & Decorator.

Experience across both residential and commercial projects is preferred. Work Safety:  Valid General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card).

Working at Heights certification is highly regarded. Technical Ability:  Proficiency in brush, roller, and spray application techniques, surface prep, and decorative finishing. Tools & Transport:  Valid Australian Driver's License and access to reliable transport.

Attributes:  Strong eye for detail, reliability, physical stamina, and the ability to work independently or within a site team. What We Offer Competitive Base Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum + Superannuation (commensurate with experience).
