An established and growing professional services organisation is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join the business on an initial temporary basis, with a genuine opportunity to move into a permanent position.

Reporting into senior leadership, this is a broad and hands-on role with responsibility for the day-to-day finance function, while also providing meaningful financial insight and support to the wider business.

This would suit an experienced Finance Manager or Financial Controller who enjoys working in a smaller, professional environment where they can take ownership, build strong relationships and have a genuine impact.

The role will include:

• Oversight of the day-to-day finance function
• Month-end reporting, reconciliations and financial controls
• Cash flow management and forecasting
• Budgeting, forecasting and management reporting
• Oversight of AP, AR, payroll and billing
• Statutory and regulatory compliance
• Working closely with senior stakeholders to provide financial insight and advice
• Identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and reporting
• Supporting and developing a small finance team
• Liaising with external auditors and advisers as required

About you

You will be an experienced finance professional with a strong technical accounting foundation and a naturally hands-on approach.

Ideally you will bring:

• CA/CPA qualification or equivalent
• Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Financial Controller or similar role
• Strong financial controls, reconciliations and compliance experience
• Exposure to a regulated or professional services environment would be highly regarded
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• The ability to operate both strategically and in the detail
• A practical, commercial and solutions-focused approach
