The opportunity

Reporting to the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor Workshop, the Service Person ensures the PLS fleet of mobile equipment is maintained in a safe and mechanically sound condition to deliver maximum uptime for the Mining Group and to ensure that PLS interests are always protected.

This is a permanent full-time role which operates on an 8/6 7/7 (days & nights) FIFO roster from Perth or DIDO in the Pilbara region.

Key responsibilities

• Comply with all PLS safety policies, procedures and statutory requirements.
• Maintain accurate service records, and ensure all servicing tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
• Inspect, service and maintain mobile equipment both in-workshop and in-pit, in accordance with site procedures and manufacturer’s specifications.
• Operate service trucks to complete daily servicing and refuelling of heavy mobile equipment in accordance with supervisor instruction and mine plan.
• Communicate with the Mobile Maintenance Workshop Supervisor on day-to-day activities.

About you

• Education: High School or equivalent.
• Certificates: Forklift, WAH, EWP.
• Licenses: Current and Valid Driver’s Licence (Minimum HR Class).
• Strong commitment to Safety Culture.
• Minimum 2 years post trade mine site exposure and experience in Mobile Mining Equipment maintenance servicing across a variety of MEM equipment (Cat, Epiroc).
• Ability to work as a part of a team.
• Strong knowledge and experience of Workshop standards, processes and techniques.
• Has proven strong collaborative and liaison skills and has good understanding of operations and equipment usage.
