Position: Permanent part time 35 hours per week | Nursery & Toddler age groups (Under 3’s)
Salary: $33.87 - $38.14  (Inclusive of the Worker Retention payment) + Super
Qualification: Hold a Certificate lll or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA approved equivalent)

About One Tree Community Services Altona Meadows

Located in the heart of Melbourne’s west, One Tree Altona Meadows is a 58-place early childhood service offering nursery, toddler, and kindergarten programs.

Our service is inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy, where we see the environment as the ‘third teacher’—inviting children to explore, imagine, and connect with the natural world.

About The Role

We are looking for a passionate, diploma-qualified educator who enjoys working with children under 3 years of age and understands the importance of building secure, nurturing, and responsive relationships during these early years.

You will work across our Gumnuts (Nursery) and Bluebells (Toddler) rooms, supporting our youngest learners as they explore, discover, and grow.

Your room allocation will include:

• Monday and Friday – Bluebells (Toddler age group)
• Wednesday to Thursday – Gumnuts (Nursery age group)
This role is perfect for someone who is confident adapting to changing routines, understands the importance of flexibility in early childhood environments, and can provide consistent, high-quality care.

What We’re Looking For

✔ Diploma of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent)
✔ Experience working with children under 3 years of age
✔ A strong understanding of early childhood programs and child development
✔ Experience in planning learning cycles
✔ Strong understanding of the National Quality Standards and Child Safe Standards
✔ A commitment to child-led, play-based learning
✔ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✔ A positive, professional, and reflective approach
✔ Passion for creating meaningful and engaging learning experiences

✔ Create a nurturing, responsive, and safe environment where children feel secure and supported
✔ Build genuine relationships with children, families, and your peers
