About the role
As Manager - Water Systems ANZ, you will lead market development, technical solution sales and strategic customer engagement across Australia and New Zealand. Reporting to the leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing the ANZ water systems strategy while acting as a trusted advisor to customers, consultants and contractors. You will work directly with wastewater treatment plants and influencers to identify operational challenges, develop technically robust solutions, influence project specifications and convert opportunities into successful outcomes.
Key responsibilities
Develop and execute the ANZ growth strategy for Water Systems
Identify and pursue new opportunities within municipal and industrial wastewater markets
Build strong relationships with water authorities, process engineers, consultants, EPC contractors & end users
Influence project specifications during the early design phase
Represent Aerzen at industry conferences, seminars and trade events
Develop strategic partnerships within the water industry
Assess wastewater treatment process performance and identify improvement opportunities
Diagnose operational challenges including nitrification instability, oxygen transfer limitations, process bottlenecks and capacity constraints
Develop and present technically sound and commercially viable solutions
Support customers with troubleshooting, optimisation and technical workshops
About you
Degree qualified in Environmental, Chemical, Process, Civil, Water or related Engineering discipline
7+ years' experience in wastewater treatment, process engineering, water infrastructure or solution sales
Strong understanding of biological wastewater treatment processes, activated sludge systems, aeration technologies, oxygen transfer principles, and process optimisation and troubleshooting
Demonstrated success in technical sales, business development or account management
Experience working with engineering consultancies, water utilities, contractors or industrial customers
Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills
Ability to travel throughout Australia and New Zealand
Existing network within the Australian water industry
Experience influencing specifications and project design outcomes
Wastewater treatment plant commissioning or optimisation experience
