Pastry Chef & Baker 

Bakes On Lakes are seeking an experienced and passionate Pastry Chef/ Baker to Join our fast-paced Bakery located at the Peel Business Park in Nambeelup.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing ingredients and handling baking and other kitchen equipment.

• Creating pastries, baked goods, and confections, by following a set recipe.

• Monitoring the stock of baking ingredients.

• Ordering new supplies, ingredients, and equipment for the pastry/bakery section, when needed, and within budget.

• Ensuring their section of the kitchen adheres to safety and health regulations.

• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Bakery Manager.

Requirements:

• Previous experience and/or qualification.

• A capable chef/baker who can handle a busy section.

• Willingness to learn from experienced members of the kitchen team.

• Organised individual with good time-management skills.

• An eye for detail and presentation

• Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations.

• Reliable transport and flexible working availability, Monday-Sunday, 38 hours.  

Pastry Chef:

• Competent in pastry making & using dough breaks

• Good pallet knife, decorating and cake writing skills

• Excellent technical knowledge of pastry cooking techniques

• Decorating pastries and desserts to ensure beautiful and tasteful presentation.

Baker:

• Competent in baking a variety of breads, including sourdough, rye, and baguettes and other various baked goods.

• Follow recipes and baking procedures precisely

• Good understanding of the fermentation process
