Job Overview: 

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Yard Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to maintaining an organised and efficient yard area. Your daily duties will include opening and closing procedures, assisting in moving and organising vehicles, managing paperwork, and ensuring a high standard of presentation for customer vehicles.

Responsibilities:

• Washing, vacuuming, and detailing vehicles to maintain a pristine presentation.

• Applying protective finishes and polishing exteriors as required.

• Inspecting vehicles for damages and reporting any issues to the Yard Manager.

• Assisting with the preparation of vehicles for customer delivery.

• Handling cleaning materials and equipment responsibly to minimise waste and environmental impact.

• Supporting yard operations, including moving and parking vehicles as directed.

• Prevent detailed cars from being driven and getting dirty

• Regularly count and manage inventory stock

• Ensure each yard car has a clearly marked repayment price

• Verify that all cars are unlocked and properly tagged and locked of an evening

• Guide customers to appropriate parking areas

• Regularly pick up and dispose of rubbish in the entrance area, inside the building/s and assist with overall cleanliness

Qualifications:

• Strong organisational and multitasking skills

• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organised environment

• Effective communication skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively

• Basic knowledge of the automotive industry is advantageous

• A valid Australian License
  

Working Hours:

Full-time, Monday to Friday
Occasional Saturdays
