Payroll/Rostering Officer

BlueWave Living is a not-for-profit residential aged care provider committed to delivering exceptional care and services to older Australians. We are seeking an experienced Payroll/Rostering Officer to join our team on a fixed-term basis from September 2026 to March 2027 to provide coverage during a period of Long Service Leave.

Reporting to the Financial Accountant and working closely with our Human Resources and Rostering Team, this role is responsible for payroll processing, employee administration and roster duties for planned and unplanned employee leave.

Key Responsibilities

·         End-to-end payroll processing for our fortnightly payroll.

·         Maintaining employee records and payroll data.

·         Processing leave, allowances, penalties and payroll variations.

·         Responding to payroll enquiries professionally and promptly.

·         Coordinating staffing coverage for planned and unplanned employee leave.

·         Liaising with managers, the Rostering Team and agency providers as required.

·         Supporting payroll compliance and assisting the Financial Accountant with payroll-related requirements.

Highly Regarded

·         Experience working in residential aged care.

·         Experience using Inerva payroll software.

·         Knowledge of the Aged Care Award, Nurses Award and Enterprise Agreement interpretation.

·         Understanding of payroll obligations within a 24/7 aged care environment.
