Logan City Special School is seeking an inspiring, collaborative and student-focused educational leader to join our school community as Head of Department (Curriculum). With a strong focus on independence through learning, our school provides highly individualised programs for students requiring significant adaptations to access learning. We are looking for an educational leader who is passionate about inclusive and specialised education, has strong curriculum expertise and can inspire and support teachers to achieve the best possible outcomes for every student.

Logan City Special School is a specialist school in Logan Central providing highly individualised education programs for students who require significant adaptations to access learning, from early childhood through to Year 12. Guided by its motto “Independence through learning,” the school is committed to creating a caring, inclusive and dynamic learning environment where students can develop their skills and achieve their individual potential. Your opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to lead quality teaching and learning and make a meaningful difference to student outcomes.
As Head of Department (Curriculum), you will provide curriculum leadership aligned with school and departmental priorities, contribute to the vision of the State Schools Division, strengthen the quality of teaching and learning, and foster positive relationships with students, staff, families and the wider school community.
You will demonstrate strong communication, relationship-building, analytical and leadership skills, with the ability to lead change and work collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes.
