About the role
About Cornerstone Health
At Cornerstone Health we’re motivated to make a difference: to provide quality healthcare for all Australians. We put patients at the heart of everything we do, providing quality primary healthcare where and when it’s needed most.
We operate 15 large-scale medical centres in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and on the Gold Coast supporting over 2 million patients annually. Our medical centres offer general practice, radiology, dental, telehealth, pharmacy, pathology, allied health and specialists, all under one roof.
We’re a growing, purpose-driven organisation that values collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
About the Role
We are seeking a capable and commercially minded State Manager, Radiology to lead the operational performance, workforce planning and day-to-day leadership of Our Medical Radiology clinics across their state.
This role is the key link between site operations, clinical leadership and the Head of Radiology. You will translate business priorities into practical operational outcomes, ensuring clinics are well-staffed, efficient, safe and focused on delivering a high-quality patient and referrer experience.
Our Medical Radiology has four clinics across the Greater Sydney area including Crows Nest, Dee Why, Gregory Hills and Kellyville.
Key Responsibilities
Lead operational performance across radiology clinics within the state, ensuring consistent service delivery, patient access and operational standards.
Monitor and improve site performance across activity, productivity, utilisation, report turnaround times, patient experience and financial outcomes.
Own workforce planning across the state, including roster oversight, leave planning, vacancy management and workforce risk mitigation.
Lead, coach and develop Radiographers, Sonographers and administration teams, supporting recruitment, onboarding, retention and capability development.
Build and maintain strong relationships with GPs, specialists, allied health, radiologists and other key stakeholders to support sustainable referral growth.
Lead local engagement initiatives and increase awareness of radiology services.
Identify underperforming sites, emerging referral risks, operational issues and growth opportunities, then implement or escalate improvement plans.
Partner with clinical teams to maintain quality, safety, accreditation, radiation safety and regulatory compliance standards.
Drive continuous improvement in patient flow, scheduling, booking practices, utilisation, operational controls and ways of working.
Monitor operational risks, incidents and patient feedback, ensuring issues are appropriately managed and escalated.
Provide operational support across clinics, including covering radiology clinic shifts when required to ensure continuity of service, patient access and safe operations during periods of unplanned absence or workforce shortages.
About You
You are an experienced multi-site operator who can balance people leadership, clinical service quality, stakeholder engagement and commercial performance. You are comfortable working with clinicians, referrers and senior leaders, and you use data to make practical decisions that improve service delivery.
You will bring:
Demonstrated experience leading multi-site operations within healthcare, diagnostic services or a comparable service-based environment.
Proven ability to improve operational performance, workforce utilisation and service delivery outcomes.
Experience leading workforce planning, staffing, recruitment and operational teams across multiple locations.
Strong stakeholder management capability, including the ability to engage clinicians, referrers and senior business leaders.
Experience using operational, workforce and financial data to drive decision-making and performance improvement.
Strong people leadership skills, including coaching, capability development and performance management.
The ability to balance operational priorities, workforce requirements and commercial objectives.
Clinical qualifications and AHPRA registration.
Alignment with Cornerstone Health’s purpose of increasing access to quality healthcare for all.
Why Join Cornerstone Health?
As part of Cornerstone Health, you’ll join a purpose-driven organisation making a meaningful impact in communities across Australia. We offer:
A modern, integrated healthcare environment with strong clinical collaboration.
A supportive and professional team culture.
