UNSW Kingsford Legal Centre (KLC), is an award-winning community legal centre, where legal excellence meets social impact. For 45 years, KLC has been at the forefront of access to justice, providing free legal assistance to vulnerable and disadvantaged communities while shaping the next generation of legal professionals.
The Solicitor/Clinical Supervisor will provide legal advice, casework and community legal education in areas of law relevant to the Centre, with a focus on leading the Centre’s Family Violence and Family Law work. The position will also supervise advice nights and attend community outreaches. The position works closely with UNSW Law & Justice students teaching them in a best practice clinical legal education model.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced solicitor to make a meaningful impact through direct client work, student supervision, community engagement and law reform activities. Working across Family Violence and Family Law matters, you will provide high-quality legal assistance, contribute to community legal education initiatives and help strengthen access to justice for disadvantaged clients. You will play a key role strengthening the Centre’s connections in the community especially around family violence.
The role of Solicitor/Clinical Supervisor reports to the Director/Deputy Director and has legal supervision by the Principal Solicitor/Senior Solicitor.
The level of appointment will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience.
