Bookkeeper

About the role

Working closely with accountants and clients, you will be responsible for supporting clients' success through bookkeeping and compliance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Reconciling GST accounts and other balance sheet accounts

• Ensure Payroll, STP and Super Guarantee meet compliance requirements

• Preparation and lodgement of BAS and IAS

• Maintaining accurate client records using Xero

• Assisting with month-end and year-end processes

• Liaising directly with clients to provide bookkeeping and guidance

• Identifying and resolving bookkeeping discrepancies and compliance issues

About you

• Previous bookkeeping experience, ideally within an accounting firm or public practice environment

• Strong working knowledge of Xero

• Experience with payroll, GST and BAS preparation

• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• A professional and client focused approach

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
