Whitebridge Contracts is a rapidly growing civil contractor delivering projects across Western Australia in earthworks, drainage, underground services, concrete, infrastructure and plant hire.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer – Commercial & Operations to join our team.

This is not a typical engineering role. We’re looking for someone who enjoys being involved in every stage of a project—from tendering and estimating through to client management, project delivery and operational planning.

Working directly with the Directors, you’ll play a key role in helping grow the business while delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing detailed estimates, tender submissions and cost plans.

• Completing quantity take-offs and material take-offs from drawings.

• Reviewing drawings, specifications and contract documentation.

• Identifying project scope, risks, exclusions and assumptions.

• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.

• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.

• Assisting with securing new work and identifying business opportunities.

• Planning project delivery, programming works and coordinating mobilisation.

• Allocating labour, plant, equipment and subcontractors across projects.

• Supporting site supervisors and project teams throughout delivery.

• Managing project costs, budgets, forecasting and commercial performance.

• Identifying, pricing and negotiating contract variations.

• Assisting with progress claims, procurement and contract administration.

• Providing engineering support and practical solutions throughout project delivery.

• Driving improvements to internal systems, processes and operational efficiency.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A Civil Engineering degree (or equivalent industry experience).

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in the civil construction industry.

• Strong estimating and tendering experience.

• Excellent understanding of civil construction methodologies, sequencing and project delivery.

• Experience with earthworks, drainage, underground services, concrete and civil infrastructure.

• Strong knowledge of construction plant, equipment and resource planning.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications and contracts.

• Strong commercial awareness and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.

• A proactive attitude with the ability to take ownership and work autonomously.

• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
