The RoleAn opportunity has become available for a motivated and detail-focused Graduate Accountant to join our Finance team in Glen Iris.
Reporting to the Group Accountant and working closely with the Finance Manager, this role will provide hands-on exposure across financial reporting, reconciliations, compliance and general accounting activities.
This is an ideal opportunity for a recent accounting graduate looking to begin their career within a large and supportive finance team. You will receive excellent exposure across the broader accounting function, with strong opportunities to learn, develop and progress within the business.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with month-end journals, including accruals and provisionsPreparing balance sheet and bank reconciliationsMaintaining the fixed asset registerProcessing and reconciling intercompany transactionsSupporting monthly financial reportingInvestigating financial variances and discrepanciesAssisting with compliance requirements, including BAS preparationSupporting stock recosting and financial data accuracyContributing to process improvement initiatives across the finance team
About YouRecently completed or nearing completion of a degree in Accounting, Commerce or BusinessProactive and energetic, with a genuine desire to learn and developPlanning to commence CA or CPA studiesIntermediate Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs/XLOOKUPs and PivotTablesStrong attention to detail and analytical capabilityClear communication skills and a collaborative approachExperience with Pronto ERP is desirable but not essentialPrevious accounting experience is welcomed but not required
