HSEQ Advisor / Manager Civil Construction Sydney $150k - $200k + Super + Vehicle Sydney-based civil contractor has built some of the city's most recognisable infrastructure and landscape projects — from major recreational precincts to remediation and civil works across the region.
About the Role You'll take ownership of health, safety, environment and quality across a diverse portfolio of civil construction projects. Working autonomously and closely with project and site teams, you'll drive a proactive safety culture, maintain compliance, and continue to build a strong HSEQ framework across the business.
Key Responsibilities - Implement and maintain HSEQ management systems, processes and documentation
- Conduct internal audits and manage external audits and accreditations
- Support project teams to identify and control site-specific hazards and risks
- Deliver inductions, training and toolbox talks for employees and contractors
- Lead incident and injury investigations and coordinate return-to-work processes
- Provide coaching and guidance to site teams on safety practices and compliance
- Prepare HSEQ reporting and data analysis for leadership
About You - Proven HSEQ experience within civil construction or a related industry
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 (or equivalent) management systems (advantageous)
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Confident operating both independently and as part of a project team
- Certificate IV in WHS (or equivalent); Lead Auditor qualification highly regarded
- Experience with licensing/accreditation processes across NSW highly regarded
