Production and Operations Manager

About the role

NuEdge Agri Solutions is seeking an experienced Production and Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day performance of our Innisfail manufacturing and operational facility.

This is a senior, hands-on site leadership position with responsibility for production, warehouse and inventory operations, logistics coordination, site maintenance, safety, quality and people performance. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead Production, Operations, Logistics and Site management. You will provide clear direction across the site, ensure operational priorities are understood and delivered, and bring production, inventory, logistics and site activities together as one coordinated operation.

Key responsibilities

• Leading daily production, operations, warehouse and logistics activities across the Innisfail site

• Setting daily and weekly priorities through the Production Supervisor and Operations Supervisor

• Coordinating production schedules, labour, materials, equipment, packaging, inventory and dispatch requirements

• Working closely with the Finance and Logistics Administrator to align confirmed orders, production, stock availability, transport and customer delivery commitments

• Maintaining forward visibility of production demand, capacity, inventory, plant availability, storage and delivery requirements

• Monitoring production progress, output, downtime, stock discrepancies, waste, rework and operational delays

• Ensuring accurate and timely inventory movements, stock counts and information within Odoo

• Coordinating day-to-day and scheduled maintenance priorities, breakdown responses, contractors and equipment availability

• Ensuring the site operates safely and complies with WHS, quality, environmental, chemical-handling and ISO 9001 requirements

• Leading, coaching and developing the site team, with clear expectations, accountability and regular performance feedback

About you

• At least five years' experience in manufacturing, production or site operations management

• Demonstrated experience leading supervisors and operational employees

• Strong production planning, scheduling and resource-coordination capability

• Experience overseeing warehouse, inventory and logistics activities

• Sound knowledge of WHS obligations and quality-management systems

• Experience using operational KPIs to improve performance, reliability and cost control

• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

• Experience working with ERP and operational reporting systems

• The ability to work effectively with finance, procurement, maintenance and other business functions

• A current driver's licence and forklift licence
