Business Traineeship

The Opportunity

We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a full-time Business Traineeship in partnership with our host, Seymour Whyte Constructions.

The position will be based in Coomera, QLD.

With over 30 years of industry experience, our client has built a reputation for delivering complex infrastructure projects. They take pride in delivering their projects safely, with minimal or no environmental impacts, and with respect for local communities.

Undertaking this 12-month traineeship will give you the opportunity to put theory into practice, complete a BSB30120 Certificate III in Business, and gain valuable experience in the workplace to set you up for a successful business career. 

Job Details

Based on the Coomera Connector Project on the Gold Coast, this role provides administrative support to the team and offers a great opportunity for someone looking to build their administration experience in a dynamic work environment.

No two days are the same. You can expect a fast-paced and engaging environment where your attention to detail, enthusiasm, and can-do attitude will make a real impact.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements

• Provide administrative support, including data entry, email management, record keeping, and general office duties
• Obtain quotes and coordinate orders for uniforms, PPE, stationery, and office supplies
• Maintain office supplies and stock levels, including ordering and replenishing printer supplies, stationery, and general workplace resources
• Demonstrate strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency
• Work effectively within a team environment, supporting day-to-day administrative operations
• Match invoices to delivery dockets and prepare labour timesheets for approval
• Assist with event coordination, including meetings, lunches, and morning teas
• Prioritise and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
• Maintain strong organisational and time-management skills
• Assist with administrative tasks and special projects as required

Hours:  Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 4:00pm

About You

We are seeking a dynamic and well-presented individual with a genuine interest in building a career in business administration.

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Hold a current driver’s licence
• Have experience in using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and Outlook)
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with a collaborative and team-focused approach
• Be a proactive team player with the ability to take initiative and work independently when required
• Have attention to detail skills
• Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Medical, Drug and Alcohol Screen, and Police Check
