Senior Manager, Sustainability Customer Strategy

What's the role?

As Senior Manager, Sustainability Customer Strategy, you'll play a key role in bringing our sustainability customer value proposition to life across Consumer, Business & Wealth and Institutional Banking. 

Working with teams across product, marketing & brand, customer experience, frontline, risk and sustainability, you'll translate strategy into meaningful customer initiatives, experiences and engagement approaches. You'll help translate strategic priorities into meaningful customer engagement, communications, propositions and experiences, while partnering with divisions to identify opportunities to create value for customers and the business. 

As a custodian of the Sustainability CVP, you'll work closely with divisional stakeholders to drive alignment, consistency and adoption, ensuring the proposition is reflected in customer-facing initiatives, narratives and engagement approaches. You'll also help leverage customer, market and stakeholder insights to inform decision-making and strengthen the connection between sustainability priorities and customer needs. 

This role works across Group Sustainability and key business divisions and requires close collaboration with teams responsible for brand, marketing, customer strategy, employee value proposition and investor engagement. 

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity based in Sydney/ Melbourne with a flexible hybrid working arrangement. While standard office hours apply, some flexibility is required during key delivery periods, particularly in the lead-up to year-end sustainability reporting. 

What do I need? 

• Experience in strategy, consulting or customer transformation, with a proven track record of delivering customer-led strategic initiatives and driving tangible business outcomes.
• Proven ability to partner across business divisions and specialist teams at Senior Manager level to embed strategic priorities, while acting as a custodian of enterprise-wide propositions, frameworks or programs to drive alignment, consistency and adoption. 
• Strong ability to translate complex concepts and emerging trends into clear, customer-centric narratives, communications and engagement approaches. 
• Demonstrated ability to operate at Senior Manager level, navigating complexity, influencing senior stakeholders and building alignment across a complex organisation. 
• A customer-led and commercially minded approach, leveraging customer and market insights to support strategic decision-making, with an interest in sustainability and helping customers navigate future opportunities and challenges.
