𝗥𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄• Babylon Data is seeking an experienced Lead Microservices & AI Technical Architect to provide technical leadership for a major business application transformation program.• The role will help establish enterprise microservices and event-driven architecture foundations while embedding AI-enabled engineering practices across the software delivery lifecycle.• You will provide architectural authority, influence engineering and system design decisions, guide adoption of AI across delivery and build long-term organisational capability through technical leadership and knowledge transfer.
𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀• Provide technical leadership and architectural authority across cloud-native, microservices-based and AI-enabled platforms.• Design and govern scalable, resilient and secure microservices and event-driven architectures.• Establish modern engineering and AI delivery practices across the software development lifecycle.• Lead adoption of DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability and platform engineering standards.• Guide the integration and operationalisation of enterprise AI capabilities within business applications and engineering workflows.• Drive platform modernisation, containerisation and integration of enterprise systems.• Establish reusable architectural and engineering patterns to improve scalability, maintainability, security and operational resilience.• Influence architecture, engineering and technology decisions across complex transformation initiatives.• Provide technical leadership to multidisciplinary engineering and delivery teams.• Build internal capability through mentoring, knowledge transfer, engineering governance and continuous improvement.
𝗘𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮• Extensive experience designing, implementing and governing cloud-native, microservices and event-driven architectures in complex enterprise environments.• Demonstrated delivery of scalable, resilient and secure business-critical platforms.• Strong expertise in AI engineering and AI-enabled solution delivery.• Experience developing, deploying and operationalising enterprise AI capabilities, including semantic search and machine learning solutions.• Strong understanding of responsible AI practices and governance.• Advanced software and platform engineering capability across modern development frameworks, DevSecOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability and security-by-design.• Proven experience leading enterprise technology modernisation and transformation initiatives.• Ability to provide authoritative technical direction and influence significant architecture and engineering decisions.• Demonstrated improvements to platform reliability, scalability, security and engineering maturity.• Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams, delivery partners and engaging senior executives.• Ability to translate complex business requirements into practical technology outcomes.
𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲• Experience designing, implementing or operating enterprise container platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, AKS, EKS or GKE.• Container platform automation, governance and workload management experience.• Cloud platform modernisation experience.• Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and platform engineering experience.• Enterprise observability and automation experience.• Experience leading delivery in Agile environments.• Experience coaching and leading geographically dispersed technical teams.• Demonstrated capability uplift and development of engineering cultures focused on collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement.
