Senior Claims Advisor

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Claims Operations team at Marsh. This role can be based in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office. 

As a Senior Claims Advisor, you will support the management of complex and escalated claims, including assessing coverage and identifying the policies impacted. You will work closely with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues where possible, escalate matters when needed, and help maintain high-quality claims outcomes. 

We will count on you to: 

• Review complex and escalated claims notifications and supporting documentation to assess coverage and the policies impacted

• Provide clear guidance on claims handling, resolving issues where possible and escalating matters to Claims Advocates when required

• Maintain regular contact with a portfolio of large and complex clients to build trusted relationships and support timely claims management

• Liaise with clients and insurers to manage notifications, updates, information requests, acknowledgements, queries, and contentious claims 

• Support internal and external audits and contribute practical recommendations to improve claims processes and team performance

• Mentor, train, and guide colleagues to strengthen the team’s technical capability and consistency 

What you need to have: 

• Proven experience handling complex claims across Property, Liability and Marine in an insurance or broking environment  

• Well-developed understanding of claims processes, coverage considerations, and insurer and client communication 

• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, service quality, and attention to detail 

• Demonstrated experience building effective working relationships with clients, insurers, and internal stakeholders
