Payroll Officer

Summary

The Payroll Officer plays a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our disability support organisation in Geelong. This part-time position is essential for maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and providing support to our staff regarding payroll-related queries. The ideal candidate will contribute to the smooth operation of our payroll system, ensuring that all employees are compensated correctly and on time.

Responsibilities

Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation.Maintain payroll records and ensure all data is up to date and secure.Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and benefits.Prepare and submit payroll reports to management as required.Assist in the reconciliation of payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies.Stay informed about changes in payroll legislation and best practices.

Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in payroll processing or a related field.Strong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements.Excellent numerical and analytical skills.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to confidently use formulas, functions, queries and pivot tables Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
