About the role
Wyndham Youth Aboriginal Corporation (WYAC) is a community‑driven Aboriginal organisation committed to empowering young people, families, and community through culturally grounded programs, advocacy, and support services. We are growing, modernising, and strengthening our operational capability — and we are seeking an ICT Officer who can help us build a reliable, secure, and future‑focused digital environment.
The ICT Officer will play a critical role in maintaining WYAC’s information and communication systems, ensuring staff have the tools, technology, and support needed to deliver high‑quality services. This position suits someone who is proactive, organised, and confident working across a broad range of ICT functions — from troubleshooting and system maintenance to supporting digital transformation projects.
Provide day‑to‑day ICT support to staff across all WYAC sites.
Maintain and monitor ICT systems, networks, hardware, and software.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
Oversee ICT asset management, including procurement, inventory, and lifecycle planning.
Support the implementation of new systems, applications, and digital tools.
Ensure data security, backups, and compliance with organisational policies.
Liaise with external ICT providers and contractors as required.
Develop and maintain ICT documentation, procedures, and user guides.
Assist with ICT components of organisational projects, upgrades, and strategic initiatives.
1-2 years demonstrated experience in ICT support or a similar role.
Masters Degree in ICT
Strong knowledge of Windows environments, Microsoft 365, networking fundamentals, and common business applications.
Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Understanding of cybersecurity principles and safe data practices.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to support staff with varying levels of digital literacy.
Current WA Driver’s Licence.
Experience working in Aboriginal organisations or remote/regional settings.
Knowledge of ICT compliance requirements for not‑for‑profit organisations.
Familiarity with device management tools, cloud services, and digital transformation projects.
