About the Opportunity
As a Site Manager, you will oversee and coordinate day-to-day on site operations, ensuring cabling projects are delivered to efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard of quality. You will lead teams of up to 40 technicians, foster a positive and productive work environment, and act as a key link between site teams and management.
You will be accountable for all WHS and quality requirements onsite, with regular reporting to the Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise teams of up to 40 technicians
Provide on-the-job training and mentoring to apprentices
Plan and manage the cabling work packages, schedule, budget, and resources
Directly supervise labour to maximise efficiency and team morale
Monitor and schedule materials to ensure availability onsite when required
Manage and track variation requests, ensuring approvals are obtained prior to works commencing
Maintain clear communication and reporting to the Project Manager
Daily client progress reporting through our internal platform
Ensure daily site diaries are completed accurately
Report design changes or program variations to the Project Manager
Oversee maintenance and availability of plant and equipment
Ensure a strong safety culture and compliance with WH&S requirements
Act as the communication channel between client, management and site teams when required
Skills & Experience
Proven experience leading teams of up to 40 site staff
Must have a minimum of 5 years of team leadership experience
Quick learner in respect to structured cabling design and topologies
Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Highly organised, self-motivated, and results driven
Ability to make sound decisions under pressure
Demonstrated leadership and team-motivating capabilities
Preferable
Experience working in Data Centre installations
Extensive experience in communications, cabling, or electrical environments
NV1 Clearance
What You'll Need
ACMA General Cabling Licence or Electrical Licence (preferred)
White Card – OH&S General Induction for Construction Work (NSW)
Current, valid, unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence
Must have Australian work rights
Ability to complete police check and pre-employment medical.
