About the role

Kitchen Complex Pty Ltd is seeking 1st / 2nd Year Cabinet Maker Apprentice to join our team in Riverwood NSW 2210. This is a full-time apprenticeship position that offers an exceptional opportunity to develop practical skills and knowledge in cabinet making and joinery under the guidance of experienced craftspeople.

As an apprentice, you will be at the foundation of your career in the carpentry and cabinet making industry, working on real projects that will build your expertise and establish you as a skilled tradesperson. This role is integral to our business operations, providing support to our joinery workshop whilst you develop the technical competencies required to excel in this rewarding trade.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting experienced cabinet makers and joiners in the workshop on a range of projects, from design through to installation

• Learning and practising fundamental joinery techniques, including measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling timber and related materials

• Operating hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under supervision, with a focus on precision and quality

• Preparing materials and work areas, ensuring the workshop is kept clean, organised and safe at all times

• Supporting the fitting and installation of custom cabinetry and joinery products at client locations

• Completing assigned tasks with attention to detail and adherence to project specifications and timelines

• Contributing to a collaborative team environment and communicating effectively with supervisors and colleagues

• Attending formal apprenticeship training sessions and completing all required coursework and assessments

What we're looking for

• Currently enrolled in or eligible to commence an apprenticeship in cabinet making or joinery with a registered training organisation

• Strong practical attitude and a genuine interest in learning the craft of cabinet making and joiner

• Excellent hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills

• Willingness to follow safety procedures and work responsibly in a workshop environment

• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Punctuality, reliability and a professional attitude towards work
