About The Role

We are seeking HD Fitters to join our Thiess Western Region Maintenance hub located in Hazelmere, working a Monday to Friday roster. The Maintenance Hub is designed to support repairs and refurbish a variety of Mining Equipment and Components within Thiess and subsidiary internal Asset refurbishment requirements as well as external key Tier 1 mining customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of large scale Cat, Hitachi, Liebherr & Komatsu mobile mining and other equipment as directed in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication and maintenance systems documentationCompleting General Maintenance, Breakdowns, Services and Component Change outs to a high standardSource technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer based systemsEnsure good housekeeping standards are maintained at all timesConduct required inspections to maximise equipment utilisation & reliabilityRegularly dealing with external clients to ensure machine availability/reliability

About You

Cert III in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalentPost-trade experience working in the Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industryExperience in General Maintenance, Breakdowns, Component Change Outs and Servicing of Heavy Earth Moving EquipmentStrong Diagnostic SkillsStrong Interpersonal SkillsOccasional adhoc site travel required
