Quality & Risk Manager

We are seeking an experienced Quality & Risk Manager to join our growing professional services firm and play a key role in strengthening our quality, risk and compliance environment.

Working closely with our Partners and senior leadership team, you will take ownership of the ongoing development and operation of our quality management and risk frameworks, with a particular focus on our Audit and Business Services divisions, together with oversight of our AFSL compliance environment.

The Role

• Leading and continuously improving our quality management and risk frameworks.
• Overseeing quality and risk processes across Audit and Business Services.
• Coordinating internal audit quality and file review programs.
• Identifying quality issues and driving practical remediation and continuous improvement.
• Supporting Partners and teams with quality, risk, independence, conflicts and client acceptance matters.
• Maintaining and improving quality and risk policies, procedures and monitoring programs.
• Overseeing key aspects of our AFSL compliance framework and monitoring program.
• Coordinating incident, breach and compliance management processes.
• Monitoring changes in professional standards and regulatory requirements.
• Supporting external regulatory and professional quality reviews.
• Providing quality and risk reporting to Partners and senior management.
• Delivering practical guidance and training across the firm.

About You

You will bring strong professional judgement together with a practical approach to quality and risk.

Ideally, you will have experience within an accounting, audit or professional services environment, with a strong understanding of audit quality, professional standards, risk management or regulatory compliance.

Experience with AFSL compliance or financial services regulation would be advantageous but is not essential.

CA, CPA or another relevant professional qualification will be highly regarded.

Importantly, you will be comfortable working directly with Partners and senior leaders, able to constructively challenge when required, and capable of translating complex professional and regulatory requirements into practical solutions.
