The role

As our Graduate/Assistant Accountant, you'll play an important role in supporting the Finance team and developing your accounting skills through hands-on experience across a broad range of financial activities. Your responsibilities will include:

• Review bank account and credit card reconciliations

• Complete monthly reconciliations of key accounts- fixed assets, accounts payable, accounts receivable, clearing accounts, and inventory

• Assist with weekly cash flow. Prepare input information for cash flow.

• Maintain fixed asset register

• Assist with other items as required at month end for reporting

• Assist with annual audits

• Assist with indirect tax returns- BAS and FBT

• Other items including ABS surveys; help with workers compensation returns

• No experience required, however previous AP/ AR viewed favourably.

• Studying or recent graduate in Accounting or Finance degree.

• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills to maintain and create new models.

• High attention to detail to maintain high standard of accuracy and integrity in all reports.

• Strong interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

• Organized, pro-active and able to take initiative.
