About the role

We currently have opportunities for suitably qualified/experienced Fitters/Mechanics, to join our busy maintenance team in Welshpool.
You must hold the recognised Trade Certification as a Fitter/Mechanic or hold equivalent mechanical qualifications and have the right to work in Australia. Ideally you have had previous experience in a manufacturing, mining or construction environment. Applicants with experience in the Milling industry will be highly regarded.
Successful applicants:
will be motivated and practical
are a problem solver with an eye for detail and energy for maintaining existing plant and machinery for longevity and efficiency
have very good mechanical aptitude and a problem-solving mindset
good at time management, communication and teamwork skills
have an ability to work in a small team and/or without close supervision
work well under pressure in a fast-moving environment
are physically fit and able to undertake manual work
would benefit, but not essential, to have Forklift, Working at Heights and Confined Space entry tickets
Duties include:
Working within the capabilities of the role in either Fitter or Mechanic
Ability to use precision measuring instruments to determine the accuracy, clearance and fit of assembled parts and/or fabrication of chutes, conveyors, etc
Focus on health, safety and environment within a multidisciplinary team
Following Company work instructions, policies and procedures
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and/or overtime hours as required
Applicants are required to undertake a pre-employment medical examination to meet the inherent requirements of the role.
