About the role
Raleigh Street Community Children's Centre is seeking an experienced Educator to join our team. This full time role is ideal for an educator who is passionate about early childhood education and enjoys working in a collaborative, community-focused environment. At Raleigh St the fulltime educators in a room work together and share the responsibility of planning and programming.
About us
Raleigh Street Community Children’s Centre is a community-run early learning service providing education and care for up to 60 children per day across two sites, from 6 months old to preschool age. We are proud of our strong community connections and inclusive, relationship-based approach. Educators are paid above award, and we offer 5 weeks of annual leave for full time staff. We have been assessed as Exceeding the National Quality Standard and are genuinely committed to ongoing quality improvement.
Our educators and teachers work collaboratively to deliver high-quality long day care and 3- and 4-year-old Kindergarten programs guided by the EYLF, VEYLDF, and the rights and voices of children and our community. Raleigh St celebrates social and cultural diversity and we are committed to creating a culturally safe environment for Aboriginal children and families, with Aboriginal perspectives embedded in everyday practice.

Key responsibilities
Implementation of developmentally appropriate learning experiences in line with our curriculum
Build warm, respectful relationships with children, families and colleagues
Supervise and engage children to ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times
Assist with daily routines including meals, rest times and transitions
Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming learning environment
Follow all child safety, health, safety and Centre policies and procedures
About you
At least 3 years experience working as a Diploma Educator
Are professional, reliable, flexible and able to work across different age groups
Have a mature attitude to work, can show initiative where required and contribute to the team in a positive way
Can communicate with families in a proactive manner
Demonstrate a commitment to child safety, inclusion and high-quality practice
Enjoy working as part of a supportive, professional team
Good communication skills and ability to be a team player
