County Club is a part of Federal Hospitality, a proudly Tasmanian, family-owned business and Australia's oldest continually operating hotel group, operating some of the state's most iconic hospitality, tourism and entertainment destinations.
We are seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to join our team in a part-time (0.4FTE), permanent role based at Country Club Tasmania, Prospect Vale, Launceston.
What you’ll be doing each day:
Reporting to the Commercial Manager – Federal Hospitality, you'll be a trusted support to proactively support Managers by providing information, advice and training in practical scheduling applications, tools and reporting.
Assist Managers in the design and production of base templates which meet employee obligations and business needs;
Manage the release of schedules in line with enterprise agreement and company policy requirements;
Undertake basic trend and root cause analysis, EA interpretation and reporting to proactively identify scheduling continuous improvement and resulting business benefit;
Act as the primary point of contact and liaison for Country Club Tasmania or Wrest Point regarding the Labour Management System. This includes, working with relevant stakeholders at Country Club Tasmania or Wrest Point and the Federal Group more broadly, to optimise the scheduling system and configuration and ensure it is fit for purpose.
Resolve and track scheduling and payroll issues that the managers have been unable to resolve and escalate to the System Administrator and/or Payroll as required.
What you’ll bring to the role:
Certificate III in Business Administration or equivalent practical experience in a similar role
Familiarity or demonstrated ability to learn and understand employment provisions of awards and enterprise agreements
Knowledge, understanding and practical experience in the preparation of complex rosters (preferably within a hospitality, gaming or shift work environment)
Knowledge, understanding and experience in trend analysis, root cause analysis, reporting and continuous improvement approaches
Knowledge, understanding and experience using a Labour Management System and highly developed IT skills in a Windows Excel based environment
Highly developed numeracy and analytical skills
Highly developed interpersonal, mentoring, influencing and negotiation skills
Plan and undertake work in a logical and sequential manner within critical timeframes
